Hi all,
I have a 2004 Onan generator heat exchanger (original) that was beyond repair. I went online to buy the OEM replacement and almost fell off my chair with the price and the fact it will probably be made in China sent me in another direction. I found a site for Mr. Cool and offered a copper nickel replacement for $287 plus two day shipping, not bad I thought so I ordered it. I got it today and it's a real nice product, (probably Chinese) and cheap enough. My question is this, the OEM was all copper. The replacement is copper/nickel. I inquired with the guy helping me on the phone, which is better? He just said nobody ever ordered "all copper", I bought it anyway because of price and figured that if it didn't last I could change it 3 times and be even on the price of an OEM?
So, which is better? Anybody have experience with this?
