We have a Weekender 230 with a rotted transom repairs too expensive for us, the boat is in great shape otherwise. looking to see if anyone could use any of the parts. and trailer is also for sale. she's going to the dump soon. were located in the Las Vegas area.

If you have a place to store it while you do the work, and the inclination to mess with it, consider parting it out. There's hundreds of dollars in used parts sitting there.

boats just aren't selling right now. i have had 170 signature on craigslist for several months with a brand new motor, rebuilt outdrive, gauges, stereo and brand new carpet. i've had offers in the $1800 range with trailer. i hate to see a boat go to the dump but understand the issue. people aren't spending money right now except for wealthy people.

Hard to believe a rotted transom could end the life of your boat, especially if running it on inland lakes. Try some Git-Rot first. Regards.
