Warm it up and use Easy Off oven cleaner. Sometimes the cheaper off brand or dollar store oven cleaner is more potent than Easy Off. I'm sure I don't have to say "extinguish the flame first"......lol

Why clean the inside? That's the "spice rack" you're cleaning off.

I just leave it on high for a few minutes after food is off and burn the worst of it off, brush the grills, clean the tray and leave the rest. On the outside, I find Fantastic cleaner to be great for cutting the grease/smoke stains on the outside.

I've had my Kettle for many years. Every year I remove the non metal parts and toss it all in the oven at home and bake at the clean cycle. It cleans up perfect. I replace the bad bits and get cooking.

Caution: this process causes the stainless exterior to discolor from the heat, which is permanent, but I could care less, it cooks great and that's all I want from it. It's not a beauty contest. I've had to replace the innerds a couple of times over the years, and I've found best performance to replace the burner jets every few years if lighting becomes a problem.

I put the insides in my blast cabinet the beginning of the season. Too much hot fat drips out the BBQ by the end of the season and the grease sometimes drips on the deck plus the electronic spark stops working with the grime built up on it so I blast it each spring.

We take the parts and spray with oven cleaner and then put them in a dark trash bag and set that out on the driveway in the sun. After an hour or so, pull them and hose them down.

Not familiar with the dark trash bag method.....what does that do for you? Warm them up?

When I had my Force10 grill the 3000psi pressure washer cleaned it up real nice. :smt001

I don't really know. I have assumed it was a combination of heat and that the entire surface of the racks stayed coated with liquid cleaner. I do know that it works really well.

I just spray my Magma inside and out with oven cleaner and let it sit for 24 hours. The oven cleaner will be dry by then so I give it another coating and just hose off all the crud. After using the grill for 10+ years, the outside looks like new after cleaning and the inside has no crud on the grill part or the flame spreaders. Of course, that only lasts until the first time we use it.
