Just wanted to share my recent experience with Perko. In my annual haul back from FL this past week, the knob on my folding masthead light must have been loose, and spun off in the wind. Argg... I called Perko and to my delight 1) the phone was immediately answered by a person, 2) I was transferred once to a person in sales who answered immediately too, 3) she kindly offered to send me a replacement for free from her "drawer". It's small moments like this that go a long way for me with vendors that "get it"!

Nice to hear that Chuck. How was the boating in Florida?

Dave
FL was awesome. We did a trip to the Keys, lots of SCUBA diving, had my 10 yo certified while there. We then did some nice trips to Useppa Island and Sarasota, along with our usual day tripping. Put 70 hours on her in one month. Great to hear from you...

That sounds terrific Chuck. I only wish I could do some traveling with my boat but I don't have a trailer or a tow vehicle. I have thought of having someone tow the boat to the Coast for a few months and mooring it there. Not sure what that would cost and I will also freely admit there is a lot I need to learn first about coastal boating since my only experience is on our inland lake.

If you like the water, nothing is better than being at sea on a coastal cruise....hmmm perhaps we could arrange a haul down for you one of these times when I'm in FL. Perhaps I could even drop my boat in FL, then run back and grab yours :) At least we know the trailer fits... Don't moor it though, dry stack it if you plan to leave it there. They do fresh water flush, keeps your hull and drive clean, and the boat can be splashed with an hours notice. It can be stored inside as well out of the sun depending on where you go....
If you remember NachoBoat from this site, he and I hooked up four years ago and have been meeting up in FL each summer since. Great times, great fun, gotta love SW FL boating.
