Perko Shower Drain

Sarchila... I believe there is a carpeted kick panel under the door? Feel for screw heads buried/hidden in the carpet.

One warning, Remove the 1" barb hose and remove the bottom elbow flange first, it's covered in silicone, but it will come off since it's plastic piping. I didn't and cracked the 90 degree elbow. The sell them at West Marine for $15 so not a big deal but thought I mention it. See pic, bottom one cracked the screw in flange. Top one replacement.

Trying to replace my shower drains, they're looking really bad, all the chrome plating is worn off.

Has anyone figured out how to remove the shower drain yet? Do you need to access the bottom, or can it all be done from the topside?

Not sure how I would get to the bottom side on the 480DB.

From the bottom, Greg - much like a normal, house sink drain. In your boat, can you access similar to what we talked about above? Got some pics of the outside of the head area?

On our 44DB, I pulled the hatch off of the shower sump and had to go at them from the bottom. Instead of sealing them with plumbers putty, SR used a very liberal amount of clear silicone. I wound up cutting the nut off with a Dremel and it was not easy.
