We have no problem getting a well at CN during the week, the weekend is a different beast. That’s where the membership pays off for you.The summer before last I heard Crews Nest was full….. last summer I had no problem getting a dock. This year my membership went up $100 plus….. I’m wondering if I’m supporting their membership drive?
It will be an interesting summer to see how the economy is doing before an election….. I go to the New Hudson Inn everyday for lunch…. Blue collar bar. Shelly the bartender/manager says Keno sales are down 50%…. She says this is a clear signal we are heading for a down turn….. you don’t argue with Shelly

I don’t know if it pays off. It’s above $1,600 now…. Docking $2.50/ft plus tip…. Expensive drinks…. Monthly bills that have you wondering what have I done…. But it is the best place on the island….We have no problem getting a well at CN during the week, the weekend is a different beast. That’s where the membership pays off for you.
Do the ferry boats lay up on the island for the winter or do they run all year when possible? Just curious. One guy made it to PIB this weekend….. looks like he brought his own bubbler..

Thanks @Blueone I was wondering what the residents did for daily needs. Very interesting, to me at least. The jet express…. Fast passenger ferry is closed down for the winter…
Miller car ferry keeps one ferry operating if no ice….. mostly for residents there is not much open on the island in the winter
Fly is another option $50 one way on a small 4 seater. That’s how the kids from neighboring islands go to school everydayThanks @Blueone I was wondering what the residents did for daily needs. Very interesting, to me at least.
I am assuming the school district (tax payers) pick up the cost of those flights for the students. That's a pricy school bus. I wouldn't get on a 4 seat plane if my life depended on it.Fly is another option $50 one way on a small 4 seater. That’s how the kids from neighboring islands go to school everyday
Yes you and me pay for the plane ridesI am assuming the school district (tax payers) pick up the cost of those flights for the students. That's a pricy school bus. I wouldn't get on a 4 seat plane if my life depended on it.
Hopefully it involves updating the electrical.Doesn’t really say what they are doing
