pic thread

needs a serious cleaning a waxing.

thats the cocktail table i was telling you about. fits in well and is convenient, the full size table it just too big, haven't even put it in yet, it just sits in the ER. this winter i'm making all 3 out of either mahogany or teak...maybe custom inlay...still deciding on boat's name.

i was using this thread as a picture test, can't figure out why my signature wont show

nevermind, there it is.

Don't worry, it will always need a cleaning. Boats are like that.

Let me know if you want to get rid of that cocktail table. That would be a nice addition.

If I get a chance to make a new cocktail table over the winter I will give you this one for shipping.

My plan is mahogany with stainless cup holders instead of just indents/water holders for the cups, Hopefully i can make enough time available to make both deck tables in mahogany, the factory table is ugly but obviously suitable for larger use and the sun pad. I have a plan for a different table layout in the cabin. I like the idea of eating on the "couch" instead of the V-berth. i want to use a lighter color wood inside the cabin though.

Make sure to block sand the transom with 1500 then 2000 grit wet sand paper to remove the built-up area where the old name was. After that, a good compounding, polish and wax. Mine wasn't done well enough and I can still see where the old lettering was so I will have to remove the name, block sand, compound then have new lettering installed. Easier to do this in advance.
