Working on changing the gold to chrome, nothing has been easy. From flounder pounder sending me the wrong parts 2 times to nothing matching up. I hope the 3rd time is the charm!

on the drawers for my 2000 380 DA, the factory used a 1/4” aluminum pin extension with 6mmx1 threads to account for the extra thickness.

the new Hafele knobs are made different, appears I need 3/8” long pin extensions….
Has anyone done this upgrade? We have 3 of the same boats at my marina and need some

Or does anyone have a machine shop buddy that can make them, we need 21

it’s the item on the right in the pic

any help appreciated

No you need a pin? From the picture, it looks like a pan head bolt might work? Perhaps with a few washers or spacers?

Is the pin you are talk of an allen head cap screw? Seems like a good hardware store would be a source for a suitable fastener.

I need same. I have a couple that are stripped. This piece screws onto the threads on the latch itself and then the knob screws onto the extension. What size would you buy and then chase the threads with a 6mm die? I am willing to try that. Could you turn 1/4” into 6mm?

Another idea…take a piece of threaded tubing long enough to screw down on the latch part. Then cut a piece of threaded rod or cut the head off of a 6mm screw and inset it into the other end of the threaded tube and leave enough to attach the knob to….just a thought…

If I can’t get some made, I was thinking of a rod coupling and a peck of threaded rod, both cut to fit
