I make a lot of jokes about my marina but the new owners are really kicking ass this winter/spring. Getting rid of derelict boats, redoing my pier with new water/electric. Planted new grass. Cut down all the overgrown weeds. New gravel on roads. And just got email that a crab shack / snack bar opening on premises soon. I think this young guy is trying to clean it up. Excited for future. Maybe i wont be able to make jokes about it soon.
But if it ever becomes a ‘destination’ marina I’ll be full throttle, pedal to the metal, balls to the wall, outta there!

He did raise my zodiac rack from 150 to 250 but slip stayed same this year.
Speaking of prices i got renewal yesterday from boatus/geico, rates dropped $25 for year, but they no longer cover winter engine freeze damage. Unless…..
Boat is winterized by a commercial marine mechanic (got no problem with that clause) AND its stored indoors in heated environment.
Da Fuq! If i stored heated indoors why da fark would i need it winterized? And there almost zero indoor facilities around here. This aint farkin Wisconsin.
So basically we no longer get freeze insurance.
Anyway, price went down.
Calling aarp/Hartford next week just to see. They saved me a lot on cars this year.
