Sorry about the topic, but I gotta know!
99 340 has a water tank gauge that shows full, half, etc. but my waste tank just shows ‘power’.

how do I know when it’s full?

thanks!!!

Mine shows power, then 3/4, then full. So you get some advanced warning before its too late. This is assuming the float in the tank, and the readout gauge are both working properly. Only one way to find out - fill er up! (or take it apart and test).

Get a nice flashlight and if you can shine it against the side of the tank - sliding it up/dn and you should be able to see the current ‘fluid’ level. Keep on eye on actual fluid level while waiting for the 3/4 or full lights to come on.

On mine, immediately after a complete pump out, the "Power" light is on and above that it will read "Empty". It stays empty for about 5 or so flushes, and then the "Empty" goes out. The next indication is "1/2". When my "1/2" becomes illuminated, it's time to pump out.

If I am a betting person, there is “debris” weighing the floats down and that’s why the lights don’t change…. Have to pull the assembly out and clean. It’s not as bad as you may think, but def not good. I did a pump out, then Filled with water and had another pump out and rinse. Then over treated it

good luck, not the worst job, but def worth it to know where the waste tank level is without the @Pirate Lady system

When I pump out I refill the tank with fresh water and pump again. This seems to keep the float moving correctly. Also, I generally pump out at 1/2 full when I can.

This is where something like noflex digestor can help. It does help break poop down just my $0.02

My gauge doesn’t show anything between empty and half. If you’re sure it’s over half then you’ve probably got a stuck float.

5 flushes and you need a pump out!o_O

Mine has Empty, 1/4,1/2,3/4 and full. When I get a pump out it goes to empty then after a couple flushes it goes right to 1/2. I was told the rod that measures the pee, either needs to be cleaned or replaced. It's not a job i really want to tackle yet..
