Port Fault 131

Does anyone know what the alarm message "Port fault 131, trim ckt lo" means? Our manual doesn't offer much help to locate the source.

All fluid levels are full.
The error seems to come up more when cruising, than when at idle speed.

Clearing the alarms doesn't get rid of the problem. It began as an isolated problem but it has become a steady occurence lately.

A malfunction in the trim up relay circuit will set the fault Trim CKT Hi or Trim CKT Lo.

It would no doubt help if the type of boat/engine, etc. were displayed somewhere..Could be a Bayliner (sorry Go Aweigh2452.... couldn't help myself)
