Im trying to replace the portlight screens on a 2004 260 Sundancer. Im afraid to pull the gasket out without knowing how the repair/replacement will go. I was hoping to just replace screens with new material for lowes. Any advise???

You can carefully remove the gasket from the inside and replace the screen material, however, Sea Ray has a part (sorry I don't have the number) you can order that is a new gasket with a framed screen that fits inside it. The gasket has a pull-off strip that exposes adhesive, so you simply sck I in place.

Pompanette/ Bomar are the OEM I believe, I replaced the screens on my 250 last year. Their website is http://www.pompanette.com/home the part number for the 95 250 is P100-04-RETRO, I am unsure if this is the same part you would need, came with the gasket included. $25 per screen, and it was a real pita removing the old gasket and residue.

Here's the assembly drawing to install the new style gasket & screen from Pompantte.

I just glued mine in like factory with 3M weatherstrip adhesive and shut the window till it was set - Works great. I used a plastic molding removal tool to get the gasket out without tearing it.

For reference, for a 97 330DA the Part number is:

959288 PORTLIGHT, SCREEN & GASKET (BOMAR)
