Power Vent Motor Location

It’s not bad, the microwave has some screws from underneath holding the wood panel that the bottom of the microwave is mounted to. Then you lift and slide the microwave out. The. You will see the blower right there

Hi I’ve tried everything to find the screws without success. Do I need to pull the freezer out which is underneath the microwave to get to the screws ?

Most likely the screws will be screwed in from underneath the shelf that the microwave sits on. If you need to remove your freezer to access the underside of the shelf, then yes you will need to remove it.

Hi I’ve just purchased a 2008 DA38 & the power vent unit in the toilet & galley is not working. The breakers are good and I’m guessing the motor is fried. Where is the motor located. My guess is it’s behind the medicine cabinet in the toilet? Anyone else can confirm this before I take it apart would be greatly appreciated!

I have the same issue with a 2007 38. Just checking to see how you fixed this issue with the power vents not working. Thanks!

Hi. Purchased a new blower fan from Amazon it was the same aw the factory one. Took the freezer & microwave out and got in thru the gap. Replaced unit in 30 minutes. Total cost $80. Works a treat now.

I have had my boat, 98 290 for 5 years and never used this. Can ya tell me what it does and why would i ever use it. Boat is never stinky and when not in use have a small fan running and a small dehumidifier on board

It’s very helpful if someone uses the head for a no2! If you do cook in the galley it’s very good at extracting the scent.
