Prayers for my sister

It is tough to even find words right now. May God be with your sister, your family, and with you Glen. More prayers on the way for a miracle.

Well i went to Traverse city this weekend to see my sister. She is in good spirits, tired not sleeping much. They still havent typed her AML which is one of five but the two tests they are waiting on should be back from mayo tomorrow. They have been treating her for all five types until then. She has one more 24 hr drip bag to go through which starts around 2;30 in the morning, and it is looking like she will be getting her 5th blood transfusion tonight or tomorrow also_Once they have the specific type they can more accuratly target it with different types and amounts of drugs.Next week she will probably start loosing her hair and the vomiting will begin.Still they dont know if she will live through the chemo ,its pretty radical.
Our mom flew in from GA.and her hubby is getting ready to move their motor home and car to Traverse city.Sis really dosnt want my mom on a 24 hr watch, she tends to make plans without asking anyone and plans to park the motor home at the hospital(they have a place for it for cheap).Any ideas of what to say to mom to get her to back off without hurting her feelings?
Anyway we had a good two day visit, had a nice hotel took a swim, and a hot tub, visited the water and marina up there and had a nice dinner in what used to be my main drinking hole in the late 70's(those were the formative years right?).Her husband is worn out,its an hour drive to his work at the airport and another hour to the hospital then an hour plus back home each day/night plus putting up with mom for now and feeling he has to chaufer her around.
I feel good i took time off to go and it put me a little more at ease with the illness and possible outcomes as there are a lot of misguided things and outdated treatment info on the internet. There are a lot of new treatments now, like keytones that they will grow from her blood when the levels are god enough to support growth ,then use them in the treatments.Unlike bone marrow transplants it is not as painfull or difficult to do.There is so much information i couldn't retain much of it and she certainly cant in her condition but at least she is trying. The staff at the hospital were also excellent, making sure she is doing all the right things and protecting her constantly, they really are good at what they have to do every day,i dont think i could,it is so sad sometimes, patients actually try to escape it gets so bad for them.
Well keep praying guys,Thanks Glen

What a tough journey for everyone involved. I didn't post earlier but I do say a prayer for her every night.
We had a neighbor girl that went through 2 years of leukemia starting at 16, she finally kicked and is doing well.
We signed up on the Be a Match bone marrow registry and I will stay on it, we did it to see if we were a match for her and we weren't, but I'm staying on it in case I'm a match for someone else.

We certainly will keep praying Glen!
