So I have been getting ready to launch tomorrow and touched up bottom paint yesterday and buffing today. The boat beside me is about a 45ft go fast on a trailer with Arizona plates. It’s shrink wrapped.

all day I was thinking it smelled Smokey. So I climbed up to look in the access hole. OMG. I can’t believe anyone thinks this is able to be fixed. Take a look.

I would think the insurance company would total that, and own it from then out.

The owner of the marina has bought salvage boats and restored them, but never a basket case like that. But it may be his. He bought a beautiful Dolphin 44 that had a fire and redid the interior. But it was no where near gutted. Maybe he bought it for the M6 drives. That was all that looked like it might not be damaged.

Mystery solved or at least pasty of it. Boat was bought by a guy in the US last year and brought to Ontario. Late in the summer he had it for sale for a month or so, and then it burnt. It was hauled to our marina for storage while the insurance investigation is ongoing. It’s going to be scrapped

Crazy that we have a thread going right now where boat owners knowingly did not winterizing a boat, smoked the engine, and yet this guy paid to have a totaled boat shrink wrapped :) You just can't make this stuff up.

Not winterizing the boat and then wondering why you have 50 gallons of water in your oil boggles the mind.

Hey I'll take that blower for my project boat!
