Hi,
I have a 2006 52' sedan bridge with MAN engines. I removed the props to have them tuned up and forgot to mark which one (L or R) goes on the port side and starboard side. If anyone knows I would appreciate it.
Thank you,
Ralph

Looking at the stern of the boat the starboard side rotates clockwise. You should take picture's of the running gear, so you always have a reference.

L should go to port R to starboard. I look at the leading and trailing edge - small leading edge to the outside, with the larger trailing edge to the inside.

Huh?

Perhaps this is a little clearer. Page 4.9 of the owners manual found here: https://owners-resources.searayweb.com/owners-manuals-files/2006_52 Sedan Bridge_52 Sedan Bridge.pdf

EDIT: The pic in the illustration of the prop movement states "Counter Rotating Propellers", this means that they are counter rotating of each other. So the rotation indicated shows forward propulsion.

What do you mean. Props have a leading edge and a trailing edge. Leading edge goes first -- should spin to the outside. Trailing edge, the longer one, follows.

Yes, it was the way it was described that was confusing. Simply stating clockwise, counter-clockwise is a little
easier to understand. So if you know the which way the shaft turns then you can picture turning the prop in that direction so you then know which is forward or not.

@RalphD - This is the port propeller correctly on the port side of the boat. For forward movement this propeller spins counterclockwise looking from the back of the boat. Btw - there should be an "L" and "R" stamped next to the pitch stamping at the root of the blades.

Best way to tell... If you lay both props flat... If you pore some water on a blade witch way does it run off....

If it runs off to the right... Thats the Right one..(Starboard)

If the water run's off to the left side...(Port side)
