Something doesnt add up from what I have seen on others SRV 200's. My deck looks to me like someone may have added a layer of 1/2" plywood to it. I know there are a couple of you out there who have redone the interior I'd like your input if possible on these old pic I got from the previous owner.

I havent gotten to the boat yet since the weather is still undecided here, but I will explain what I do know.

In this first pic the arrows point to a (1/2" or 3/4") edge, from what I have seen it should all be the same surface?

This second pic is my worry, is a soft spot that I'd like to take care of, but the edge above has me more worried!

Thoughts?

Are you planning on a complete rebuild of floor and stringers?

They may have just laid 3/4 inch plywood on top of the floor. Is that indoor/ outdoor carpeting?

At least they left their recycling sitting on top of the motor.

You may be in for a significant project. If the stringers are rotten you may have to gut the boat.

I wasn't "planning" on it, but I have a feeling when I tear into the floor, its gonna be ugly. I've "beat" the transom with a hammer and pushed/pulled on the out drive and swim platform and it all seems rather solid. As for the stringers... WHO KNOWS! I guess it wouldn't be too terribly hard to sample them since I can get to them via the ski locker and somewhat back by the engine.

As for the carpet... I dunno but its gross and it doesnt match the carpet on the sides. There is only one soft spot in the floor like I said, but I thought it seemed weird that there would be an edge, and who knows if that was added what the real floor is like. Not to mention anything below it. If someone did redo this they went all out and tore the seats out and the braces for the dashes because it is carpeted the same there also.

I think I am going to need a lot of those recycling type containers on the engine for both myself and to subsidies this project!
