Questions for those who slip their boat....

Yep.
I have ropes in place that stay in the boathouse. They're tied like that so the boat doesn't touch anything... not even the bumpers. I have some small bumper-ettes along the sides that stay too so I don't have to get the bumpers / fenders out when I return to port either. When I pull back into the boathouse I just put the ropes around the cleats and I'm done... it's super easy, protects the hull and solid as a rock when the storms roll through...
