Quicksilver 6.5 KW Generator

I'm trying to find out what engine powers a 6.5 KW quicksilver generator which is in my 34' Sea Ray. I'm looking for head parts. Thanks for any help.

The 89 i had, had a nissan 4 banger in it. Make sure you change the timming belt!!! Or you loose the valves. Jap plugs also.

I have an 8KW it is the same engine. I have had very good luck with rockauto.com for parts.Car is Nissan Micra 988cc. The parts I have ordered have fit.

You have a 987cc Nissan 4 cylinder engine. Used in the Nissan March, a car sold in Europe and Japan, maybe Canada - not in the US. You may have luck calling a Generac dealer, as they produced the genset. If you don't have the shop manual for the engine I think I can email it to you. PM me. Good luck!

When I bought my 340 the genset was missing. I have ordered a Westerbeke 8.5BTGA to replace it. I have searched everywhere for the QS 6.5kw specs and cannot find them. Can you post the dimensions and weight of the QS 6.5kw genny please? Or email me at 2jzbrent@gmail.com

Whats the recommended timing belt replacement? I'm sure after 20 years it probably should be done. I've had the cover off messing with other things, but never even thought about changing out the timing belt. Did you have one fail MY58SR, or just replace as a preventive maintanance item?
I had uploaded that manual to one of the megaupload type sites, but I think it wsa only up for a month, if anyone subscribes as a member to one of those sites we could have them host some of the manuals we all have.
