2001 380DA with a Ray C80, Radar and Sonar works fine. GPS won't let me push the button for "Find Ship".

Antenna problem? Please Help :smt100

You mean the find ship/cursor button? You can't push it, or when you push it, it doesn't find your ship? Are you not receiving a gps sat?

It does not allow me to select that option, which leads me to believe the antenna might be on the brink, what do you think Art?

Bruce, did you try turning the unit off, to attempt reset? I don't "think" an antenna problem would prevent you from just selecting the option.

It's been a recurring problem for a while. We did do just that, reset it, for several months and it has never "come back up" fully operational yet.

I had that issue on my C90W. It happened after my batteries ran low and had to use emergency start on the port engine. I had to turn the batteries off to completely reset the unit.

Is there a way to check the Raystar for power? I thought mine had crapped out a few years back, I went and bought a new 125 Raystar, installed it and still got the same "No Fix" indicator. I eventually traced the problem to the back of my SL570 and the main black power cable was loose from the back of it, so I wasted that money :smt013.
So I gave that older 120 to my buddy to swap his antenna out with. He's a little reluctant to do that since I cut the wires so short and its gonna be a bear to splice them together.

On my E120 the raystar comes on with the master MFD switch. It also shows fix or no fix on the top right on the MFD.

This is an older ray star without that led on the top of it.
