Just curious how many have installed it and how it is working out for you.I am considering it for a winter upgrade,it looks like a good deal as a package with the a78 display but i wish it would come as a package with the a98.And it all depends on whether it will interface with my st7000 autopilot. Thanks Glen

I have it with the eS98 and I love it. It does all the Ray says it will do. You can get on the Ray forum and see what all you will need to make it work with the system in question.

I'm really having a hard time deciding between the Quantum and the larger range HD dome. Any feedback on why you picked the quantum would be great. Thanks

The Qunatum is going to better in close, the 24" HD Dome will be marginally better at 20+ miles.

Any of Ray's current hardware will interface with an older autopilot, either on NMEA0183 or using a Seatalk Adapter.

I use mine for the close range, and it works great. It can and does spot a kayak or unlit bass boater near the reed grass. I to keep it set at the 1/4 mile till I get closer to the creek / marina. It's all in what you want out of the unit and all I can say is the Quantum is a great mid range radar

Sounds like it will work for me,i usually only travel 1-200 miles per day while on vacation. My current rl80crc will reach 72 miles but its only had me changing course to go behind a storm once and it was only 20 miles ahead of us.I like the lighter weight of the dome, but i sure like the looks of the open array on my arch. Mabey aesthetics isnt as important as overall functionality when it comes to radar though.
