I have the Element 9hv. Is it possible to extend the display to another monitor? For example, with my laptop or desktop I can split the screen. I did a quick search and didn't find anything.
Incidentally, I know I can use a tablet to run the whole system. That's not what I'm trying to do. I'd like to know if I can run navigation on one screen while viewing the sonar on another for instance.

I do not know if the Raymarine Apps work with the Element displays, but there are a couple apps I have used in conjunction with my Axiom.

Check out the RayControl and RayView apps. They allow you to see and control what's on the axiom displays, but it is only a mirror. In other words, you cannot have the chart app running on the display, and the fishfinder on the iPad

I was looking around on the Raymarine site this morning and saw that. It wouldn't do exactly what I was looking to do so I emailed support. I was surprised to get a reply so quick.
What their answer was is this:
"At the moment I'm afraid not, but we are looking into adding an app that will allow screen mirroring on a phone or tablet in the future, so fingers crossed this will come soon."
So it sounds like what I was looking for isn't currently possible and probably won't be. The mirroring might help at some point though if I wanted to set up a larger screen.
