I have a raymarine tridata attached to a paddle wheel as a speed sensor. My electronics system consists of a raystar 125 connected by seatalk to the tridata connected through seatalk to the autopilot then a rl70c then rl80c . My question is can I use the raystar 125 as a speed sensor instead of the paddle wheeland have the true GPS speed displayed on my screens. The paddle wheel is just so off and I think it's throwing off my auto pilot

Yes, that's exactly what I do. My ST60+ tri-data still uses paddle wheel input, but all MDFs show SOG from GPS input. If everything is hooked up correctly, then it's just a setting on MFD, as far as I recall.

Sorry didn't see that you answered. I'm going to try to figure that out this week. If I can't I'm gunnar put you to work next Saturday

Is it all good now? Was it just an MFD setting?
