Looking to get new lettering for my boat's name and home port and prices are all over the map.
What online vendor did you use to make your vinyl and would you recommend them?
Thanks!

I own my own cutter plotter so I just made my own. Any local sign shop should be able to help you.

I have used BoatUs several times and was satisfied. Recently I used a local graphics shop and found the price very reasonable plus they did the install.

I'm going to be looking in to this for my new to me boat. Boat US has great prices, a lot of fonts, and will send samples of the vinyl for the colors.
I've had stuff done by a local sign guy and his prices were great too, plus he'll do the install.
I'm going to go to the NY Boat Show next month and see what's available there before I decide which I'll go with.
If it were totally up to me I probably would have just ordered from Boat US, but my wife wants to look at more fonts.

I had the lettering for my little boat done many years ago by a local shop and it worked very well. Unfortunately the guy went out of business. I went through the design process on BoatUS and came out the end ready to order a pair of registration numbers, a home port, and boat name for $247.00. Then I checked another online source and for the identical order it came out to $68.00.
I would have expected the prices to be a little closer together. BoatUS has a really good reputation, but is their product really $200.00 better than the competition? Or will the less expensive graphics fade in six months?
So really I guess I'm just checking to see if anybody has purchased somewhere other than BoatUS and been happy with their purchase or if I should go with the "industry standard".

I paid $130 for the graphics from BoatUs. Not sure why your quote would be so high.

I used TDS, The Decal Source, In McCleansville, N C. Very reasonably priced and great graphics, they also do wraps, i.e. Dale Earnhardt. Jr. And many others. So not a bunch of rookies that may or may not get you what you are looking for, worked with me from a distance using pictures of the boat and overlaying the graphics on my photo for approval. See picture attached. Contact info is http://www.thedecalsource.com/#z8MBGJ

I am using "boatletteringtoyou.com" for ours. I did a quick design and this is what we are going to get. Still messing with the fonts but you'll get the idea... very reasonable in price also.

I have used decalzone.com a few times and have never had an issue. Nice quality vinyl.

Yea the gradient killed 'ya on that one... nearly doubles the cost. That's gotta be pretty big font too.

To the OP, I used Boat US as well for both of my last two boats. I didn't get too fancy but did have some outlines and such and it was very reasonable. The other thing I like about them is that if you screw up they'll give you new decals for free. Can't beat that.

I used BoatUS.com/graphics and for about 70$, had great results.
Included both the name and hailing port. I just used a straight font/color combination, nothing fancy like gradients, etc.
