Seeing that it is 22 degrees right now in Philly this may be premature, but I just got our MarineMax Recommissioning flyer. They've changed the format a bit - interesting that they removed quite a bit of the items that used to be there. I do all my recommisioning tasks myself and look forward to it mostly. Here's what I do, usually over the course of a long weekend with lots of help from the wife.

Flush water systems
Flush head systems
clean interior/runners/carpets/canvas
Wash/Wax hull
Sand/Prime/Paint outdrives
Replace Anodes
Recharge Batteries
clean A/C filter
check all fluids
start engines

I don't really do anything with the genset, windlass or AC. Wondering if this is a good list or if I am missing something. I'll be using the Scotchguard wax again this year as I was pleased with it from last year. Using the Porter Cable unit of course (thanks to all on the board for suggesting it!)

I am sure there are more but here are some things I will add;

1) verify all bilge pumps and float switches work. (2 of mine went bad the same year)

2) Verify halon/fire extinguishers are fully charged.

3) Verify all electronics and lights are working (especially anchor light - usually needs cleaning of the contacts)

For me - I have to fix some minor items I did not get to last year so I need about 2 weeks of some reasonable weather. I usually do some stuff under the cover with a small space heater keeping me warm while I am in there. I can't wait.
