1988 30' Weekender, Vee berth needs re-upholstering and trying to figure out how to remove the (what I call) back rest around the bed and the board that runs around the top. They have decorative buttons, is this where the fasteners are hidden? Any suggestions would be very helpful. Thanks -Dave

They usually hid the Phillips screws under those fabric buttons. Pull one aside and probe with a screw driver to find the screws.

if its not the decorative button type screwcovers, there is probably screws hidden in the pleats or wrinkles in the fabric.

Thanks guys... The trim around the deck head trim are screws behind the buttons and at the back rest level there are actual nuts behind the back rests, I was a bit slow on that one. All came off fine. Thanks again...
