Hi,

any easy way to remove the old oil sender? I tried today, but could not get the wrench under the sender to undo it. the fwc tank and distributor was in my way.
Any one have any special tool or tips they can share

thanks,

Channellocks, crow foot, basin wrench, go with what you got and if you don't got, go to harbor freight

Assuming it is the asme as mine, There is a special socket available that goes over the sending unit. Makes it very easy to remove, any auto parts sore will have one.
Good luck
Kevin

thanks for that info. would you know what size the sender unit socket is? or have a part number i could google

i googled oil send socket and found a bunch of different ones
wasn't sure which one to choose

there is only 2 sizes that will fit yours, A gm socket is made too fit both, I could not see a part # on the one i have. Ask for a new one, bring it with you to insure the appropriate size will work.

Good luck
Kevin
