Replacing port batteries on 44 Sundancer

I replaced port batteries last year...what a PIA... The hardest part was coming up with new swear words for this contraption... Getting the damn hooks back in... Who ever came up with this disaster design should be punished.

I have that same set up on one of my tractors. It is a PIA even when you can see what you are dong.

To close the loop on this, we were all done by noon. I had a buddy help. He manned the rope, and I guided from below. Port side, we didn't even raise the engine hatch. I worked from up top with just the small hatch removed. On the Stb side, I was down in the engine room and he was on the dock. The out and in with batteries was surprisingly easy.

Changing out the charger was a bit more complicated, but doable. The mounting holes on the ProNautic 1240P are wider than the original PD2040. Had to make mounting strips to extend past glasses in mounting board.

Thanks for all of the input on this thread.
