I am thinking about replacing my A/C drain thru hull. The current thru hull sprays a little water on the hull, causing me to wonder if there is perhaps it has a crack . I posted a question in the 360DA thread and have found access to the fitting. I will have to remove the freezer to gain appropriate work space. I am planing on just using caulk to seat the outside flange, so the outside is properly sealed. Anything else I need to be aware of?

I have noticed several boats at my marina that have a similar issue with the a/c discharge. Has anyone replaced all their thru hulls with chrome, instead of the plastice ones? A new plastic thru hull for the costs 2.95.

Here is what mine looks like.

You may want to talk to Sea Ray before you do this. I have been told some of these thru-hulls were sealed with 5200 which will not prevent you from replacing it but will require more planning so you don't cause any damage to the gel coat when removing. I would replace with Stainless. I think the SS Thru Hulls look much better than plastic. I believe many of the SS thru-hulls Sea Ray used were made by Southco just for a point of reference.
