Hello.
I'm french and I gonna try to speak english here, the best that I can. Excuse me for my eventual errors of language.
I search some information about the sea ray srv 190 build in 1972 because I would like to restore a part of carpet situated in the front of the motor box.
The sun has cooked it step by step with the time.
The color is between green and blue, perhaps silver blue.
The condition is excellent and matches with the original.
On the web, i find the different kind of carpet build for the boats. I think that the kind of carpet is a "loop carpet" with the pvc backing.
Here are pics.
Do someone know the name of the carpet maker ? Which reference ? Thanks by advance for your answers.

Thanks.
The color is pretty close but the texture is different. On my pics, we can note that the surface consists of the small loops.
I suceeded to find another maker of carpet on the web.
DORSET DETROIT, but I still have a big doubt about the material (pvc?)
The carpet seems very steep in order to resist at salt water.

I must ask them a sample if they accept.

Finding carpet to match an older boat is always a hard thing to do. Even if you found the EXACT original carpet, it still wouldn't perfectly match - especially when just trying to do a "spot repair". Here's another suggestion... Redo the whole floor, up to the underside of the side storage shelf. That will be much less noticeable.

Another idea is to use a completely different color (tan/light brown/sand?) for the floor and the 6" that go up the sides to the side storage. There's no reason that you can't do something different than what was originally done. Personally (just my opinion, of course), I think a tan/light brown would look really nice as it would tie in to the color from the dash and side panels.

Between both solutions that you have talked, I would prefer to change all the carpet but the working is more important.
I gonna start to contact DORSET for a sample. Thanks
