Really the first thing what we do when we buy a new ship is trowing the sleeping mattress away. When we picked up the ‘Summertime’ in Slovenië we brought a 8cm toplayer mattress with us and slept on that till last month when the new mattress was made.
We love interior styling from the 90’s although some colors we can’t understand at all. Inside the 500 they used a lot of woodcolor, gold and brown shades. How in .... name you add blue fabrics with it?
For this job we used the easy way of restyling. Basically we dismount all panels and put a new fabric on it and stabled it. We used taupe color. Together with the guestroom it was a easy 2 day job and it looks really awesome.
Since the model of the sleeping mattress is not a square at all we had to make a custom one. This we didn’t do ourself. We did make the mold ourself. Finally two weeks ago the new mattress arrived. Just in time because that toplayer mattress felt like it was only 3cm thick.
We put an aquamat under the mattress for extra ventilation. The picture was taken right after putting it on place. We had to cut the Aquamat and position the mattress a bit better, srry for that and didn’t took a photo after.
The mattress is 19cm high and build from pocket springs with 2 different layers of foam on top of the springs. On the sides of the slanted hull they used extra foam. The result is a pretty big bed. I am 178 cm and when laying on my chest with my arm above my head I ain’t touching anything. Then left and right is enough space for some girls. Personally i have enough with 1 girlfriend so that gives me enough extra space to turn around and around....
Yeahhh really happy with masterbedroom and the matras sleeps very good.
