Whats the difference between 3" hose comming from the riser or a 4" hose. What should my 1992 7.4L FRESH WATER COOLED ENGINE HAVE (BRAVO 2)

You should have the 4" oulet. The 3" were found on the smaller engines.

1 foot of 3" ID smooth bore hose contains 85 cu. inches of volume ... coolant if you please
A 4" hose contains 150" cu inches.
This is a case of more is better if there were a choice!
