Rock Hall has arbitrarily decided that this Saturday is its 300th Birthday. As such, there will be a fireworks show over the harbor at 9PM this Saturday night.

Additionally, one of the great "oldies" bands around, Cam & The Lifters, will be playing at Waterman's that night.

So... if you're in the area, c'mon over to Waterman's and watch the band and check out the fireworks!

We'll probably go by dinghy from across the harbor. I'll be the guy with the two screaming kids.

Such excitement in sleepy little Rock Hall. We were there for the arrival of the Shallop in July- big fanefare and the Governor of MD was aboard and rowing with the crew.

Enjoy the festivities!

People at Sailing Emporium are still talking about "that big a$$ Sea Ray" that was on the fuel dock. Gary on Four Suns was in that same spot a few weeks later. Now the sailboat people think that I know everyone that owns a Sea Ray!

It was very funny when we arrived at Sailing Emporium. We tried to hail them on the radio, but the woman in the office/store really did not know how to use the thing. We ended up just pulling in to the fuel dock, since we needed fuel anyway and I sent my wife to the office since no one was around. She came back shaking her head. The woman in the office gave her a key to the fuel pump and said pump your own and let me know how much you took. My wife said she also needed a slip assignment. The woman said you can stay on the fuel dock. My wife said, but we are staying for two days, what if someone wants fuel?. The reply... no one will. It turned out to be true.

By the way, they were charging $3.30 per gallon for diesel - The marina near the harbor entrance was much cheaper.
