I have three old danfos anchors of varying weights salvaged from my old boat.
What weight should i use on my 250 SDX ?
what size dock rope 1/2" or 3/8"?

IF they are true DANFORTH anchors, go to their website and compare the model you have to their charts. 3/8" is just fine - more than enough for your boat - not that it can hurt anything to use the 1/2" as I think the cleats are big enough to get two 1/2" lines on there.

Thank you, although I feel a bit silly spelling Danforth incorrectly I checked the web site as you suggested. Danforth recommends a nine pound anchor with three feet of chain. Fortunately I have one the correct size. As far as the boat lines I will go with the 1/2".

No worries on the spelling! You can't go wrong with more chain, either - just an fyi. You might want to get vinyl coated chain to help avoid scratching the boat.
