I have a 2001 290 Sundancer with twin 5.0L EFI with 395 hours. Both engines have been running great, since we got the bought in July. Today, took about twice as long to get up on plane, and the starboard engine was stuck at 3000 rpm at WOT (port was around 4500 and climbing). Once we finally planed off, the rpms got much closer (around 4000 & 3600). We usually cruise at around 3600 rpm on both engines, and they usually ramp up to speed together, with slight variations. The only difference I can think of is the amount of people/weight we had on board today. Probably about 500lbs more than usual. I can see that causing the slow planing, but the 3000 rpm with the throttle floored seems very strange. We’re going back out tomorrow, with our usual crew & weight, so I’ll see what happens. Do you guys have any suggestions or ideas? Thanks, Bob
