Due to extremely low water levels, I am thinking I have to pull the boat out early... like a month early. Every weekend the water has dropped another 2" or so. Last year I pulled out after Columbus weekend, this year... maybe in 2 weeks!

Anyone else in the low water problem areas?

Dock masters told the big boats to get ready to be pulled out in a week due to water levels at the lifts.

we have fields that used to be lakes and docks 100s of yards from the waters edge in the northern part of the state
they are finding forgotten towns covered since the flooding of the reservoirs

Our water is down a lot, but we're dredged deep enough that it shouldn't affect my season. However, the blow boats at my yacht club our panicking and pulling out way early. Some of them have keels that have been dragging bottom for 3 weeks already.

I just got my boat in for the 1st. time this weekend. My boating season will amount to 3 cool weekends for 2012.

Hey Chandalen, I'm on wellsley island and are marina is 2ft lower than it should be.Pulled boat yesterday.Hopefully we get are average 118 inches snow this winter bring the water table back up for next year.

The river here in Charleston is very low but we are still getting around. That is why I left the lake. Too many years of having to pull out early when they decided to drain the lake for the white water reafters.

Here in northern Lake Erie it's very low as well. Everyone in our marina had to turn their boats around to keep the props out of the mud. Normally that's not until mid October or so. They are all talking about pulling early.
Unfortunately my season ended Aug 19th due to a transmission failure. The tranny was only a month old too. The warranty red tape is what's holding things up and I am just hoping to get it back soon so I can start getting her ready for layup.
