Safety above all else: Driving drunk with a cell phone

My thoughts exactly.

In any event, you can say the same about every single distraction in the car...what about gps devices, the ipod, car radio, people eating in the car, conversations within the car, kids, the hot chick in the convertible....crash. Sorry, that last one was most distracting. Let's outlaw hot chicks driving.
not to mention the hot chicks walking in those short shorts in the summer along the streets/beaches.
 Some of the above list are more distracting than others(doh!), and for some, it's only part of the process that's distracting (eating per se isn't, but opening/grabbing/handling the food is, for instance), but this CAN be enough to cause an accident. So, it's a tough call on where to draw the line.

Thats the only reason Manhattan has such gridlock in the summer. And why neck specialists love the season as well.

Years ago my sister bumped the car in front of her. I asked how that happened and she admitted to taking her eyes off the road to check out some guy on the sidewalk wearing really snug shorts.

A friend of mine and I were sitting at an outside table at a restaurant in South Beach a few yrs ago... this young lady (who'd obviously had made a couple of visits to the Dr. to help with her attributes) walked by wearing a bikini that had less total material on it, than my friend had on his baseball cap. Oh, and it was a turquoise blue... thank goodness we were sitting down and not driving.

My, oh my,

It's not just the cell phone drivers that bug me.

How about the person in line at McDonalds (or any other fast food joint of you choice) that can't get off the phone to place their order. Or the idiot at the checkout line in the grocery on the phone. Or any checkout line for that matter. You know these are not life and death calls. They're just calls to Mom or their BFF.

"Hey! Put the phone down....conclude your business here and let the rest of us get on with our day. Most of us have other things to do than listen to you discuss other soccer moms and last night's episode of Lost!"

I am on the phone most of my day for work. Sometimes I don't take my cell in the car just for some peace and quiet.

Long time ago, the cousin of the girl I was dating was warming up on the narrow winding road that ran past their lake house. She was a very attractive girl. Fellow goes down the road, misses the turn and spends some time contemplating his car smashed into a tree.
