Saltwater to Freshwater preparations

Hi all,

My question is about transitioning from freshwater -> saltwater -> freshwater. Im planning to do the "Loop" in diesel powered Sea Ray from Georgian Bay Ontario Canada down to Key West and back up. Are there any precautions/measures I should take during the trip to ensure no ill effects of saltwater.

You will need to change out all the anodes to Aluminum. They work in fresh or saltwater. Zinc is only for salt.

Also, make sure that your engine zincs are all up to date.

What kind of bottom paint do you have? The fouling in warm salt water can be very bad.
