Samsung 50 inch 8000 series will not turn on?

Experience needed - the Samsung 8000 series 50 inch television in the solon has decided to not operate. I bought it in 2021.
The little red LED under the bottom right corner of the screen blinks twice then pauses and blinks twice again continuously.
The remote when the power button is pressed causes the LED to flash rapidly but then it goes back to the two blink thing.
There is an associated click from the TV and the screen backlighting seems to dimly turn on then right back off for each cycle of the two LED blinks.
I've unplugged all of the connections including the power cord waited a couple of minutes then plug the power back in and it goes back to that intermittent off and on.

Any ideas or junk?

I had this happen with a Toshiba, I know not Samsung, but re-flashing the FW was able to bring it back to life. Also make sure the HDMI ports are perfectly clean.

Get a new one, same size, put this in the box, give it to your brother in law as a Christmas present. Let him deal with it. Nobody likes BILs, he would do the same.

Nope - I've done everything shown in the links except tear it apart and goof with the ribbon cable. The only thing left is to pull out the audio rack and try it without using the surge protector. That surge protector is buried deep in that cabinet.
I think I'll get another and be done with it. It bites as it is less than two years old.

I had the same problem with the Samsung in my motor home and I removed the back of the TV and a number of the capacitors on the control board had black specks which were signs of leakage so I bought new capacitors online and replaced them and all good

Samsung has had an ongoing issue with power supply caps. I had in also. The caps should have a flat top bulging indicates bad ones as well.
It is so common you can search on your model number and find kits with all the right caps and instructions. Around 12-20 dollars.
Worked for mine.

OK, I'll close this with I tore it apart. What's inside -
There are two PC boards, a power supply and what they call the Main Board.
There is a full face graphics display with LED back lighting - actually perimeter back lighting.
The Power Supply PCB provides power to the Main Board and power to the back lighting separately.
The Main Board has all of the signal interfaces (HDMI etc), provides power and comm to the status LED and IR module, WiFi module, signal and power to the graphics panel, speaker interface and brightness control to the LED backlight.

If I unplug the main board from the power supply the backlight LED's fully turn on. So, we now know there is an issue with the Main Board as a minimum. There is a metal plate / heat sink atop the main board and when powered up it gets HOT.

So - I can purchase a new Main Board for around $100 and hope that is the issue or amp up for a new television.....

I have a couple hundred in a credit from previous purchases at BB so I'll probably burn that down and get a new TV.

@ttmott Tom, you knew the answer before you wrote this. Good for you for trying but as you said that $100 would be a waste. imho, TVs have basically become disposable. Get the latest and greatest with all the bells and whistles (and a warranty) and drive on..

Yea - it's a sad epitaph we live in such a disposable world especially with the environmental static we have to listen to every day; they are missing the mark.....

Hope you and the family are doing well. I volunteered to work over the holiday weekend so some of the younger guys could have the Holiday weekend with family.

Susan flew up with me yesterday and we had Thanksgiving dinner with kids and grandkids up your way. She’ll fly back home today.

Two perfect days to fly - no airport !airline/weather craziness.

My winter boat list is to get my two MAN engine displays to Sea-Tronics for LED screen replacement.
