Any local marina recommendations in the Savannah area would be appreciated. What destinations are in the area by for day trips or stay over for a few days by boat?
Savannah is a shipping port. As a result the prime riverfront social district is set up more to move large ships through rather than to accommodate recreational boaters. There are no marinas along the Savannah River. There are marinas in Thunderbolt just a few miles down the ICW. For transients, you could stay there and just UBER to the riverfront and town, or to the beaches of Tybee Island.
