Scratch on outdrive

I got a little aggressive scrapping barnicles off my outdrive (Bravo 3) and put a scratch in one deep enough to see the silver color of the drive. Do I need to address this now or can I wait unitl the end of the season? If so, can I do anything for it while the boat is in the water?

That has happened to me. I let it go until end of season, no issues but I'm also in fresh water.

Do you have any primer/outdrive paint laying around? If so - a quick touch up is easy. After all - after being in the water all summer, you ain't gonna win a beauty contest
