Sea Ray 700 - Need Model Year

I bought a Sea Ray 700 a few weeks ago without a title. I have to get a court ordered title, but for that to go flawlessly, I need to be sure of the model year. The serial number shown on the aluminum plate is 77291. Any help one of you provides will be greatly appreciated. Tim

So this is before the mandated HIN (Hull Identification Number)? That number has the manufacturer and then the year built in. 1977 seem unreasonable?

Based upon the styling, I am pretty confident it is older than that. It has a bolt on windshield that is rounded like the Batmobile on the Batman tv show from the 1960's. Tim

Hull ID numbers weren't required by law until 1972. If you contact Sea Ray though they can probably tell you what model year it is. They have records going way back. They had records on my 1972 SRV 190 (not the specific boat, but on that model)
