Hi,
I'm a newbie to Club Sea Ray and also a newbie to attempting a little fiber glass/gel touch up on a few nicks in my 1998 BR185.
I filled in a couplf of chips down on the bottom of the transom and the Gel Coat Paste Artic White I purchased from a sEa Ray dealer worked great with a little sanding. When I attempted to patch a chip on the upper driver's side of my boat near the gun whale I sanded the area with a 200 grit sand paper and water and a black streak appeared. The patch is glassy smooth with no rough spots but I'm afraid if I keep sanding more black will appear. The temps here in Wisconsin are only 50 in the day time and 30's at night,is this a problem? Any advice is appreciated.

Hmm where to start (before Gary reads this)

Welcome...
Put your boat and location info in your signature so we can better help you.
You can also buy that patch stuff directly from spectrum they have all the searay colors.
It's not a gun whale it's a gunwale pronounced like gunnal.
It's not the drivers side it's called the starboard side or helm side.
For black streaks try a product called Black Streak remover made by StarBrite you can find it at WestMarine or Boaters World
