As my hearing is apparently degrading over time, I've noticed that while underway with enclosure open for airflow I am not always hearing if the systems monitor alarm beeps on. Last week I had a water leak while underway that set off the alarm due to bilge pump running a bit and I barely heard it.
This made me want to add a separate piezo alarm up on the dash so it would be more easily heard. The systems monitor piezo is built in so I can't just tap into its wires. Has anyone figured out a way to add a separate external piezo alarm to their monitor?
I guess if I can't I'll try adding a small louvered plate where the old Raymarine speaker is and maybe that will allow the sound to be heard better underway.
Thanks

Seems to me I remember ours is pre-wired for attaching an external alarm sounder...

The Orange wire coming out of the back of the display is for an external alarm. It should go +12 Volts (maybe 24 volts in your case) when in alarm. Put the remote alarm between the Orange and Black wires coming out of that display.

Awesome - thanks guys, I'll check those wires. Tom, In my case, 12 volt system on our boat.
Also, does it matter if the orange and black wires are connected to something already, in case when I look for the end of those wires and they aren't free hanging? Anyone know if the wires coming out of the display are just loose or do they terminate into a quick connect plug for a harness?
Thanks again guys!

Unless there is already an external buzzer, which I doubt, then the orange wire should be wrapped up in the harness and ready to use; just pull it out of wherever they have it stowed and use it. The black wire is the ground for the display and you would have to tap into it or locate another convenient ground you can use.

thank you again - headed to boat in minute to check

Here is a drawing I used for my modifications -

Yup, there’s an external speaker. Maybe it’s not working. It’s quite loud when it works

Thank you all again, I traced the wire and it was connected to an external speaker that was zip tied under the switch panel. It is actually fairly loud when in start engines, but then we aren’t moving and dealing with wind noise which is the problem I wanted to fix. Needed something up top that would be loud while underway. I’m thinking too many years around jet engines are catching up to my hearing, lol.
So I removed the clarion remote on the dash, cut a small piece of plexiglass and painted grey as I was going to try to match the dash but turns out my grey was lighter shade. I’ll deal with that later. so I installed a Blue Sea piezo alarm that is very loud, plus a red led lamp beside it, and when I tested both came on along with the under dash one so all working well.
Thank you all again, this site is so awesome for help!

Love the additional red lamp as a visual alert is another layer of alert/protection.
Great job.
