Seabrook to Beaufort SC

Does anyone have any suggestions about taking my SeaRay 400 sedan Bridge from the Bohicket marina at Seabrook to Beaufort.

Looks like two choices: offshore via North Edisto River and back in through St Helena Sound... or via the AICW. Haven't done the former so can't comment further about that.

The AICW is a pleasant run. We've done the stretch from Beaufort SC to Charleston in a day. Details in the Waterway Guide, etc. Aim to transit any shallow areas at mid-tide or better, ideally from mid-tide rising.

Hmmm. Maybe it’s a different person but I thought I recognized the username from the last time. Or maybe he never left and forgot our answers. Anyway, Chris got him squared away.

Well I was all wrong. Found the other thread. Same person asking about going to Charleston rather than Beaufort.

Bohicket to Charleston

Can I take my SeaRay 400 Sedan Bridge from the Bohicket Marina in Seabrook to Charleston without going out into the Atlantic. Does this have to be done at high tide?

Rarely. Just time it for mid tide or higher.
