Seeing if anyone knows much about the new SeaCore Stern drives and how they hold up being kept in salt water full time. Mercruiser some say with the new design and elements it should work fine, but then I've heard others say they wouldn't got more than a week or two at one time in the salt water with SeaCore's. Looking at that verse the VDrive, SeaCore and Axius looking at fuel economy would be a whole lot better, heard 3-6 gph per engine better. Which over years, can make a big difference in the wallet with gas these days!

Sea Cores haven't been out long enough to know how they will hold up. Maybe in another two years we will have the answer.

Like Dave said, it is way too early to know. Mercury must have a little bit of confidence in them as they come with a four-year warranty.

As far as Axius goes, it isn't part of the SEACORE system, but an optional control system. While Axius works great, we are still awaiting (2 months now) promised updates that correct a few minor problems and significantly add to its functionality.:smt013
