Kind of a new boater (2nd season) with this boat. Been towed into shore a few times already. Anyways. Yesterday, I had to get towed in again. I'll break it down quick .
1) Fill up with gas, turn key, ( beeps 1x), starts no problem.
2) Get to boat dock. Turn key , beeps 1x, starts,we go about 3/4 of mile, drop anchor, sit for hour
3) Decided to go for a spin. Well, crank, by NO start. Oh great. Open the engine compartment door, find out that there's about 4 inches of water in the bottom.
4) Nice people in pontoon tow us back to dock. * Plus, the lower oil tank was very low on oil. Great , my fault on that one.
Could water have leaked into the engine compartment through the Drain Plugs?
A guy at the docks said- put silicone around them.
Any help, would be great
