search for new boat questions

Hi all,
We are looking for our next boat and three models of interest are the 370 EC, 400 & 420 Sedan Bridge. Looking between model years 1999-2005. Looking for diesel powered models, preferably in the Southeast as I am in Florida.
When looking at these models, are there areas we should focus on for potential pitfalls common in these models?
I continue to search the forums but thought I might be able to get more to the point with one thread.

You may also want to include Sea Ray 440 Express Bridge in your search too, unless you have ruled it out for some reason. Like all boats it has it's good points and some not so good things to consider. I own neither, but we are thinking of moving up from our 380DA to a bridge boat and the 440/450EB is one of the boats we are looking at. I have spent time on the 400 Sedan Bridge and love everything about it. As far as the 370EC, if you are a fisherman, that boat has the layout and options to make fishing easier.

These are just my thoughts as I evaluated boats that would make sense for our next move. We currently are on a 380DA. My wife and I were joined by my daughter & her husband aboard our boat for the new years holiday. It was slightly crowded at times because we did not have a dedicated salon.... that is the reason we are looking at other options.

Best of luck & keep us up to date on your shopping experiences. Always have a reputable marine surveyor go over the boat stem to stern before you move to the payment stage.

I haven't looked up the 440 Express Bridge. I'll look up some online and see what they are like. But was really trying to not go bigger than the 420 due to dock space at home.

We have a 440 EB and love it but it's closer to 50' LOA- especially if it has an aftermarket/TNT swim step.
