Sharing a Fix

I feel like I always post issues. However thanks to the forum, some garden hose and bucket I fixed my over heating Kholer 5e. It was the last thing I check but I guess the last owner NEVER cleaned out broken impeller bits.

I backwashed the heat exchanger and found almost a whole impeller. She was running >200 F, now running < 100. Took may 20 minutes to do. (see pic)

That’s why proper regular maintenance is so important, to change out those impellers before they come apart.

Agreed. First thing I did on acquiring was replace impellers, oil, etc. The impeller I replaced was in one piece, they apparently had one blow up before and didn’t search.
