I'm going to replace the shift shaft housing in an alpha one gen two outdrive.
There doesn't seem to be much info out there for this job. I did see one site that it was stated to align the shift shaft forward so the c arm stays in place when removing the shift shaft.
My question is, which way is forward?
I know it sounds kind of a self explanatory thing, but I don't want to mess this simple task up and have the c arm fall.
If I had to guess, it would face towards the front of the boat.
Anyone?
